"Dah sarapan dah?" was the usual greeting by our chirpy vegetable seller, Nenek Sayur, who is a spritely elderly lady. She never fails to give you a bright smile. Although her vegetables are not as varied as others, she has a number of regular customers. She is a generous person, always throwing in more than what we ask for."Mana adik?" Always enquiring about Dik Yan when she wasn't around.
Her generosity always reminded me that we do not need to have a lot if we want to give to others. A valuable lesson in life.
Al-Hadid 57:18 For those who give in charity, men and women, and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan, it shall be increased manifold (to their credit), and they shall have (besides) a liberal reward.
