Perils Of Bussing

Taking the bus to and from work is a ritual for many people. I was no exception. Getting ready early in the morning doesn't ensure you would be able to catch a bus. Pushing and shoving to get a footing on the bus was a norm. There will be many that would be hanging by the nails at the door of the bus. Being vertically challenged was a another disadvantage. To be under someone's armpit was ok in the morning but in the evening was not a pleasant experience. During the return trips home it could take up to 3 hours waiting before you could catch a bus.

انْفِرُواْ خِفَافًا وَثِقَالاً وَجَاهِدُواْ بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنفُسِكُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ ذَلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

At-Tauba 9:41 go ye forth, (whether equipped) lightly or heavily, and strive and struggle, with your goods and your persons, in the cause of Allah. That is best for you, if ye (but) knew.
